DAY 1 Zagreb

DAY 2 Zagreb – Ljubljana
A morning city tour of Zagreb takes you to the fortified Upper Town, the city’s historical centre, where you will see the multi-coloured roof of St. Mark’s Church, the Cathedral, the Croatian National Theatre, and the University. Afterwards depart for Slovenia's capital, Ljubljana. Here embark on a guided tour where you will see the most significant sights of the old centre including the picturesque Central open-air Market and the Three Bridges, the Baroque Town Hall, and Robba’s Fountain.

DAY 3 Ljubljana – Bled - Plitvice
This morning travel to Bled, a small town in Slovenia’s Julian Alps that ranks among the most beautiful alpine resorts. Explore Bled Castle, the oldest castle in Slovenia. It is like a setting for a classic fairy tale with the beautiful mountains and forests surrounding an emerald glacial lake. Before leaving, perhaps sample the famous local treat, a Bled Cream Cake. After, continue to Plitvice lakes for the night.

DAY 4 Plitvice – Split
This morning, head into the National Park to walk around the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site, which has 16 crystal-blue lakes cascading into 92 spectacular waterfalls. In the afternoon, travel to Split, where your guide will showcase the secrets of the UNESCO protected Diocletian’s Palace and its hidden passageways and courtyards.

DAY 5 Split – Peljesac - Dubrovnik
After breakfast, travel south along the scenic highway to Dubrovnik. Stop along the way at a wine cellar on the Peljesac peninsula to try the signature red of the region, Plavac Mali and then in Ston, a little town well known for its well preserved walls, salt works and oysters (yes there is free time for lunch here!). Continue to the “Pearl of the Adriatic”, Dubrovnik. On arrival, enjoy a city tour of the UNESCO protected Pearl of the Adriatic and its Cathedral. Marvel at the city’s marble streets, baroque buildings and intact medieval walls, and the endless shimmer of the Adriatic.

DAY 6 Dubrovnik
Spend a full day at leisure in this magnificent spot in southern Dalmatia. Maybe walk along the city walls or take the cable car up Mt Srd, or take a ferry to Lokrum Island, both of which offer a unique view. There will also be an Optional Excursion on offer to Montenegro and its Bay of Kotor.

DAY 7 Dubrovnik – Mostar – Sarajevo
Today you will cross into the neighbouring country of Bosnia and Herzegovina, to visit the picturesque city of Mostar. Enjoy free time to discover the city’s Turkish quarter and the World Heritage listed 16th century single arch stone ‘Old Bridge'. Afterwards, continue to Sarajevo, one of history’s most interesting cities in Europe. Upon arrival, you will join a city tour, and see a mix of different cultures and its wealth of historical heritage.

DAY 8 Sarajevo – Belgrade
Depart this morning for Belgrade, Serbia with a short stop in Zvornik, a charming little town in northeastern Bosnia on the Drina River. Upon arrival to Belgrade, enjoy a guided tour of this beautiful city located between two rivers. You will explore different streets, squares, monuments, parks, fountains, archaeological sites, and much more.

DAY 9 Belgrade – Novi Sad – Osijek/Vukovar
Travel to Novi Sad where your guide will introduce you to the city’s highlights which include the imposing fortress and the Old Town. Then journey to Ilok, with an opportunity to taste the local Croatian wines from the famous wine cellars “Ilocki Podrumi” followed by a traditional Croatian lunch. Continue via a stop at Vukovar, the biggest Croatian river port on the Danube to Osijek, known as the semi-official gastronomic capital of Croatia. Overnight in Osijek or Vukovar.

DAY 10 Osijek/Vukovar – Zagreb
Explore Osijek on a morning city tour, where you will see the Cathedral and the Tvrdja (Old Fort). Following this, travel to Djakovo whose Cathedral you will notice from your approach into town due to the beauty and brightness of its bricks. After a short visit, travel towards Zagreb with a visit to an Ethno Village of the region where you will also enjoy a tasty meal filled with local flavours.
