Gallipoli & Troy in Depth

DAY 1 Istanbul - Gallipoli - Canakkale
An early departure (06.30-07:00am) for a 4-hour drive to the battlefields of Gallipoli Peninsula. Today you will visit Kabatepe War Museum, Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery, Anzac Cove, Ariburnu Cemetery, Anzac Commemoration Site, Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Johnston's Jolly (where you will find the Turkish & Allied trenches & tunnels), 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial, The Nek and Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial before crossing the Dardanelles Strait to reach Canakkale for your overnight.

Stay at Helen Hotel (3 star) / Kolin Hotel (4 star) or similar

DAY 2 Canakkale - Gallipoli - Canakkale
Today you will be taken on a tour of the Naval Museum, Cimenlik Castle and Nusret Mine Layer before crossing the Dardanelles again driving to Helles. You will visit the Mecidiye Gun Emplacement (German Gun Emplacement),the Statue of Corporal Seyit carrying 215 kg shell, Alcitepe Village, the Open Air Turkish Field Hospital Museum, Achi Baba Hill (which was the main objective for the Allied Forces), the Turkish Memorial, S Beach, V Beach & British Memorial and W Beach. After lunch we will continue to Bigali Village (the HQ of 19th Ottoman Division and Mustafa Kemal Ataturk's House), Fisherman's Hut, Hill 60 Cemetery and Suvla Bay. After the tour turn back to your hotel in Canakkale for the night.

DAY 3 Canakkale - Troy - Istanbul
After breakfast a short drive brings you to the ruins of Troy, founded 5,000 years ago and famous through the tales of the Trojan War in Homer’s Iliad. Tour the site with your guide who will explain the archaeological ruins of the nine cities found there and the famous tale of the Trojan Horse before being driven back to Istanbul, arriving at approximately 11.00pm.
