Itinerary + Map

Day 1 Istanbul - Canakkale
An early departure (06.30-07:00am) for a 5 hour drive along the Dardanelles Strait to the battlefields of Gallipoli. After a break for lunch in a local restaurant you will tour the Gallipoli peninsula with your guide and see the sombre sites of Anzac Cove, the Nek, Lone Pine, Conk Bair and the 57th regiment. On completion of the tour you will continue to Canakkale and be transferred to your hotel.

Stay at: Kolin Hotel (4 star) or similar

Day 2 Canakkale - Troy - Istanbul
After breakfast a short drive brings you to the ruins of Troy, founded 5,000 years ago and famous through the tales of the Trojan War in Homer’s Iliad. Tour the site with your guide who will explain the archaeological ruins of the nine cities found there and the famous tale of the Trojan Horse before being driven back to Canakkale. After an afternoon at leisure to explore the town you will be driven back to Istanbul, arriving at approximately 11.00pm.
