Continue your journey to Bled, passing Bovec, Trenta valley, Vrsic pass (1611m) and Kranjska Gora. DAY 6 Bled
Since being “discovered” by travellers in the middle of the 19th century, Bled has developed into a lively year-round resort town with hotels, villas, and restaurants surrounding the lake. We suggest visiting the imposing Bled Castle that’s perched high on the surrounding cliffs above the lake, or perhaps take a pletna boat ride on the lake to Bled island. Alternatively, take a drive to idyllic Lake Bohinj, another alpine jewel that’s just half hour from Bled. Enjoy a relaxing walk along the lake shore and take a cable car to Mt. Vogel from where you can admire the Julian Alps. En route, visit the Shepherd’s Museum where some of Slovenia’s top quality cheese is produced before returning to Bled.
